Thankful for my quiet time...

December 12th...my goodness this year has passed by so quickly.  I remember as a child 'wishing my life away.'  Well, that's what my mama told me I was doing as I would dream of being a grown up, etc.  I remember telling my own kids not to wish their lives away.  It's funny how time goes so slowly when we are young but so quickly as we get older!

Slow or fast...the most important thing is keeping our priorities in line.  God is always first.  Family second.  Everything else falls after that.  Christmastime is the perfect time to evaluate our priorities.  It is the time of year we celebrate the birth of our Savior...He should always be first in our life.

Have you taken any time this season to rest in Him?  We get so caught up in the busyness of 'getting ready' for family to come, buying the gifts, preparing the meal.  It is easy to put your time with God to the side when we get so busy.  Let me tell you...DON'T!!!  If you can keep Christ at the center of your day...you will find that the busyness of the season doesn't take the toll on you that it does when you put Him to the side!  At least, that's what I've found.  I try to always make sure that my quiet time comes first!  My day always goes better when I focus on Jesus first!  I am so thankful that I am able to keep my focus where it should be!

We have just under 2 weeks left before Christmas.  Please check your priorities and make sure that your time with God is the first thing you do each day.  If you do, I believe that you will find more peace and a better attitude to finish the tasks at hand.

Have a blessed day!
