Answered Prayers...

This week has flown by...I swear yesterday was Monday!  Does anyone else feel like this?  My mama was right...time flies when you get a little older.  Remember when we were kids we couldn't wait to grow up...seemed like it took forever for the summer to arrive?  That is certainly not the case nowadays!

This morning I am reflecting on answers to prayers.  We pray and pray and pray.  When the answer comes...perhaps it's not what we expected...now what?  God never said He would answer our prayers like we want.  He always answers...sometimes it's with a yes, sometimes a no and sometimes He says not now.

Well, my prayer was answered...but it wasn't what I wanted.  I just knew God would give me this one.  Nope, not so much.  At least not now.  It may change in the future, but for now, the answer is NO!  Well, I can either get mad at God or I can thank Him and trust that He knows more than I do.  I do trust God...and I know that this answer is correct...even though it's not what I wanted or expected.  I also believe that it may change in the future but for now...I just need to remember Romans 8:28 and watch for the good that God will bring from this.  His word says He will work all things for good to those that love Him and are called according to His purpose...so, I will be thankful for answered prayer and I will be waiting for the good to come!

Thank you, Lord, for the resolution to this situation.  Help me to be confident in your will and not dwell on the past.

Has God answered your prayer the way you wanted or expected?  Or, did He answer you like He did me...

Have a blessed day!

  1. God's ways are not always our ways but we can trust that His plan is better.

  2. Dear Debi
I have found in my life that the one prayer our Pappa always answers, is when we ask Him no matter whatever circumstances we face, is when we give our spirit in His hands and ask Him to glorify His name!! In retrospect I have found that His way is ALWAYS the best.
