Trusting God in the Silence

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6

Some say, "Silence is golden."

Others may say, "I can't wait till I get a moment of peace and quiet!"

I am very much an introvert and love the sound of silence over loud deafening noise. {That's unless I am at a Seahawks game, then I love noise. :)}

The only time I don't like silence is when it comes from God.

These seasons of silence often feel a lot like winter. Times of growth and renewal are happening, yet it sometimes takes struggle and work to get to the other side.

When these times of life come the only thing we can do is trust God. That may seem like a cliche, or an over used phrase, or easier said than done.

However, it's all there is.

When we go through times of hardships that cut us to our core. When we cry out to God and we hear nothing, He is still there.

"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1

This is where faith in who God really is comes into play. It's when we deny what our senses tell us and where we believe in the unseen because we know the unseen holds truth.

The unseen holds our Lord and Savior who watches over our every care. He hears our every sob and cry, and grants us what we need.

When silence is all you hear, don't loose heart. God is there. He cares about us more than we could ever imagine.

Trust Him in the silence. He's working all things out for our good. The silence will not last forever. He's just waiting when the time is right to reveal His good and perfect will.

"Trust and obey, for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey. " ~ John H. Sammis

Today we are so excited to have our W2W Word Filled Wednesday Link Up. We desire to connect women of God with one another and encourage each other in Christ. So grab a cup of coffee, sit back and visit a few blogs. Be encouraged and share your own stories in their comments.

Use the hashtag #w2wwordfilledwednesday!

Three rules to this link up:
  1. Must be a {Christian} faith post.
