It's Thursday...a day to be thankful!

Good morning!  It's Thursday...it's the day that I have set aside to 'purposefully' be thankful for at least one thing in particular.  In the world we live in, it's easy to take for granted the many things that God has blessed us with.  I am trying to take at least one day each week...Thursday...to be conscious of my blessings.

Today, I am thankful that God loves me and watches over me.  In my quiet time this morning, I read Psalm 33.  Verses 13-14 of that chapter say, "13From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; 14from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth—"  This reminds me that God is aware of His creation.  From Heaven He sees us.  He watches over us.  How comforting it is to know that God sees us and keeps watch over us.  I am so thankful that He cares enough for His creation that He didn't just create and then move on.  He cares for us!!!  When the world around us cares not...God does!

I pray today that you will take a few moments to think about some of the many blessings God has given you.  You don't have to make a huge list...just pick one or two things that you are aware are blessings from above...and thank Him.

Have a blessed day!
