Tasty Tuesday - "The Big Game"

The "Big Game" is coming up this Sunday!  I am not a football fan but I love getting together with family and friends and I love all the yummy foods that come with it.

Little Smokies

One of my favorites is little smokies.  I make this every New Year's Eve and for sports event.  And if there are left overs, my kids love to eat them for breakfast.

Crockpot
2 packages Hillshire Farm Lil Smokies
2 cups your favorite bbq sauce
1 cup grape jelly

Put smokies, bbq sauce and grape jelly into crockpot and heat on low for four-six hours.

Sausage Roll

One of my best friends made this delicious sausage roll for New Year's Eve and she is making it again for the Big Game on Sunday.  It was a huge hit with our family and friends!

2 lbs sausage
8 ozs shredded mozzarella cheese
8 ozs shredded sharp cheddar cheese
8 ozs shredded monterrey jack/colby cheese
1/4 cup parmesean cheese
2 eggs
Frozen bread dough

Brown sausage, then set aside to cool.  Mix cheeses together.  Mix cheese and sausage.

Knead bread dough.  Roll out loaf of bread dough on floured surface. (you will need to set the bread dough in the refrigerator the night before and then set it out on the counter the day you are going to make the bread so it can raise.)  Spread 1/4 of mixture over bread and roll up, sealing the ends.  Bake a 350* for 25 minutes or till bread is golden brown.  Slice.  Makes 4 loaves.

Chips and Queso
You can't go wrong with chips and queso!  Here is a recipe to make a delicious queso.

Crockpot
1 box Velveta cheese
1 can Rotel
1 lb package RB Rice chili

Brown RB Rice chili meat.  Slice Velveta cheese.  Mix RB rice chili, Velveta cheese and Rotel in crockpot on low for four - six hours.

*I also do this recipe without the RB Rice chili.

What is your favorite game day food?
