Come

"See, I am doing a new thing!  Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."  Isaiah 43:19

Lord, we have come to worship;

old and young,
rich and poor,
happy and discontent,
at peace and restless,
more or less full of faith,
we come.

We come curious about this “new thing” that you can do…

can you find a way through financial difficulties?

can you find a way through loneliness and family tension?

can you find a way through sickness and grief?

can you find a way through violence and a history of violence?

We need living streams in the wasteland parts of our lives.
In this hour of worship,help us to perceive how you are there;
streams of living water,
                                  cold,
                                          refreshing,
                                                           abundant,
                                                                           unstoppable.

We ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

And Jesus said, "Come!"
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-29

  5. And Jesus said, "Come!"
    At times this is still so hard for me! Just to go to Him instead of trying to fix it myself. Thanks for posting this Lisa.
    Blessings to you today...Chelle
