Just minutes ago, I was complaining to my husband about how sad I feel because of the circumstances in life we're in right now, and then I read your post, and I shut up. Thanks for the reminder to take it to God instead. I will definitely be praying hard tonight before bed.Brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10987575606728573709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2766259787611337956.post-48447603877665722022016-01-13T08:34:47.474-06:002016-01-13T08:34:47.474-06:00Love, love, love your post, Shari! Being a part of...Love, love, love your post, Shari! Being a part of the chronic illness community can be difficult at times, because sometimes I think it's the "misery loves company" club. Everyone loves to get online and complain, complain, complain. As a blogger writing to that same community, I have to walk a fine line. If I am a Pollyanna, acting like everything is beautiful all the time, then no one will be able to relate (nor would it be a true picture of my life!) On the other hand, if I use my blog to complain, then I become like everyone else. I specifically started it to offer people hope in the midst of pain, and so I try and provide solutions just like you are sharing in this post. In fact, my very first post from Sept 2014 is titled "I beg your pardon, I never promised you a rose garden!" because, hello, no God didn't. We all have trials to overcome, but He is good and He stays with us, helping us along the way. Thank you for this great reminder of other ways to handle our rough days besides sitting on our pity pot, complaining! God bless you and have a great day!
